Carl reflects upon his youth soccer experience, "I am extremely excited about what the Hammers organization is doing and what to express my gratitude for what San Antonio soccer and Thomas Woolley have done for me throughout my formative years in soccer. As member of the Hammers club I was given an opportunity to grow as a player and express my individual ability as a player. The idea of enjoying soccer has not been forgotten in Woolley's teaching while still emphasizing the commitment to team and personal success. The competitive exposure I received as a youth player allowed me to reach my goals of joining a collegiate soccer team and eventually gaining exposure to professional soccer. From humble beginnings in San Antonio, education and soccer have allowed me to pursue a lifetime of soccer involvement."
