Director of Coaching Hammers Soccer Club
Thomas Woolley

Thomas Woolley is the Founder and Director of Training for the Hammers Soccer Club and currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation 'B' license. Born in Birmingham, England, he grew up around soccer. After High School, Thomas joined the Semi-Professional Tamworth Town Club as the youngest player ever to play for the club and was selected as "Player of the Year". Over the next few years, Thomas played for the Birmingham City Football Club and Mansfield Town Football Club. In 1990, Thomas came to San Antonio and began coaching at the Division One level. During 1991-1993, Thomas played for the Dallas Rockets as an All-Star and still managed to coach and train several teams. Today, the Woolley's have made San Antonio their home and Thomas continues to develop the young men of South Texas.

Brandon Rodriguez

Brandon currently trains and coaches three of our Hammers teams.  His expert grasp of the game and it's essentials has made him a favorite of our newest developing players as well as our older, more experienced players.  He currently holds an 'E' license through South Texas Youth Soccer Association. Brandon was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He has played soccer for 20 years and coached for over 10 years. He attended Central Catholic High School, where he was selected to the "All State" team in 1990. Brandon has also played for St. Mary’s University where he was a starter as a freshman for the varsity team. Brandon has coached youth soccer at all levels from U5/U6 to U18. He is currently coaching at the Division One and Super 2 level for our club.

 

   Roman Juarez

Roman played his competitive youth soccer in Colorado with the Colorado Springs Chargers Soccer Club where he was coached by the current women’s U-20 coach Tim Schultz. He also made his respective Olympic Development Program teams as well.  From Colorado Roman made the move to Florida where he was also chosen to be on the Florida ODP teams and was eventually named the High School Player of the Year by both the Florida Today and Orlando Sentinel newspapers.  From high school Roman accepted a scholarship to attend Florida Southern College.  Roman is currently coaching our girls Division One teams.

Coaching Experience:

Roman’s coaching philosophy has been shaped by his fortunate participation of playing for and coaching with some of best names in soccer today: Tim Schultz (Current Head Coach for the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team, Lou Sagastume (Head coach of The Air Force Academy Men’s Soccer ), Sam Snow (Director of Coaching Education US Youth Soccer), Dr Fleck (The former General Secretary of US Youth Soccer) and Roy Rees (Former National Youth Coach).

  Juan Amaya
