Welcome to our site
Welcome to the home of the Dallas Texans San Antonio Soccer Club
The DTSA/Hammers Soccer Club, was established in 1990 by Thomas Woolley Director of coaching. Currently in our sixteenth year we are proud to have been developing some of the best soccer players in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. All of our teams are currently playing at the D1 level, and will continue to do so in the future. The Philosophy of the Club is to teach Young Men and Women how to play good, fair soccer in all age groups. The younger ages are taught skills and technique with development as the focal point while fostering a love of the game. The older age groups center on tactics and technical training with a stronger emphasis on physical fitness to prepare them for High School and College competition. One of the most exciting thing about our club is to see the development of the players, year by year, who proceed to play soccer at the collegiate level. More than 70 of our alums are either current or former college players.
Winning is the result of quality training, developing soccer skills, and doing many small things correctly. It does not occur by focusing only on winning. Such a focus can have a damaging impact on the youth player and may compromise the development of an athlete and an individual.
At DTSA, it is about the Quality not the Quantity.
